Topics may include professional and amateur performances in court, cities, churches, and countryside of varied sorts of texts–masques, religious drama, secular drama, charivari–alongside examination of texts, performers, and performance spaces from 1509 to 1642. May be repeated for credit with topic or instructor change. P/NP or letter grading.
